If Dave Patrick were smart he would convince you to put the video on his web site. Great job of flying and camera work. What prop are you using? Did you do any changes to the ailerons? I am flying the DP 330L with a OS 160 FX. It needs a little more power for 3D. Looks like the Moki 2.1 does the job in style (with the right pilot!). Thanks for the video really enjoyed.

Thanks guys, BTW I'm just the camera guy and video editor. The pilot is a 15 year old boy.
Greg1, the balance point is just what the manual recommended.
FlyHard, the prop is a Mejzlik 19x8. Ailerons is stock configuration with JR 8411s. Did have flutter problem before but when he switched to metal arms, it solved the problem. Also seal the hinge line..
Yea, IMO the Moki is not power enough for some IMAC manuevers. Once you do a verticle snap roll it just does not want to climb anymore. If you like doing 3D, I would go with the MOKI for the weight. If you do IMAC, I would go with a 50cc gasser.
P.S. Dave Patrick thinks a MOKI 1.8 is tooo powerful for this plane.
Will shoot videos of my H9 Edge and GP Giles 202. They 3D good as well. IMO the H9 Edge will probably the ultimate 1/4 scale 3D machine.

Thanks Krayzc. Yeah, that's a powerful setup your buddy got there. Is he having Aileron flutter problem with that setup? I cant wait for the DP Edge to come out in 6 weeks. The aileron on that is huge. I'm deciding whether to put a ZDZ 50 or DA 50 on it.

mecam,
He doesn't have any flutter issues, he even started out flying the plane with a 21 x 10 and that thing flew straight and level at least 80MPH with so no slow down when he pulled it to verticle. I said to him "man that is just to fast of a plane." He only did this a few times to see how the prop pulled. This was before there was ever a mention of any planes having flutter issues. That plane does have some very large ailerons. It stilll doesn't see very slow with the 22 x 8 prop at full throttle uplines: however, it does slow down well for landings. He is running one of the hitec brands, i am not sure but i think its the 5645 series. He has ran hitec in quite a few of his planes with me always saying not me buddy, maybe its time an old dog learns some new tricks! I am going to try the 5735 big jumbo ones as i have seen nothing but good things about those, so rudder here they come......

What type of fuel are you using? Also do you have a pump? I have the Moki 2.1, with a perry regulating pump and a zinger 20x10 we cut down to 19", with Omega FAI. We are not getting tha type of power and the midrange sometimes lags.
Thanks!
Thanks!

10% Powermaster fuel and we are at Sea level. If you are at a higher altitude, you may want to use 15%. No pumps, the fuel tank is installed at the stock location. We tried a 20x10 but is a little too much for this engine, even though they advertise a 25lb of thrust with that prop. With 19x8, you get awesome RPM transition and yes that prop is awesome and that is why it cost $40.

Edge is still in the workshop, 80%done. Will use a Moki 1.8, 19x6 prop and Futaba 9402s all around with dual elevator servos with 60 degree throws. I hope I get this done before I get my Ultimate 3D machine "Diablotin TOP FG". This one has Full Stab elevator with up 70+ degree throws. 61" WS, 12oz of wing loading.
