Default Cheap Wide Blade Spinners??

Here's a question (or more of an observation I guess).
When are manufaturers going to sell a cheap Plastic (or aluminum) WIDE BLADE spinner for us 3D'rs.
I'm sure there's a demand...

Half my props don't fit my spinners....then, if you find one thats cut big enough, it doesn't match up with the cowl.

I've seen the 35 dollars aluminum Tru-turns....and yes...they are a work of art.

So, I'm looking for those 2.5-3 inch $5.99 or less plastic spinner with a cut out big enough for my bambula 18x8.

ok...maybe I'm dreaming....but is anyone else feeling like they're in the same boat?

Does anyone have a secret place to get them I might not know about?

Or am I stuck with the dremel in my hand and grinding on them till it's off balance and one slot bigger than the other...

Comments? (stepping off the soap-box now)

I agree, Tru Turn prices are outrageous. Perhaps enough people will read and this and we can send some kind of letter or mass email to DuBro. I'd bet they'd make one. Plus, what happens in a crash? If I buy a plastic wide blade, I'm out $10 at the most. But if and when I crash the wildhare edge I'm getting with the Tru Turn aluminum spinner i'm most likely to buy for it, I'm out a lot more...

Yeah really, my finger got the worst of this deal, I sliced it wide open with my xacto before I tried the dremel. Hurt like I never though a finger cut could!

Oh man...ya...been there...done that!!
Number 11 x-acto through the finger trying to carve plastic....and then there's the 1/16 drill bit through the finger and out the other side when it broke on me holding a small part...going in was nothing it just stayed there...getting it out was paaainful...(thinking do I twist it or just push....or pull..couldn't decide [:'(] ). Never realize you use your index finger so much for the next month after that one...

Anyone got any SPINNER CARVING tips for ending up with a well balanced and wide opening spinner??

Thanks for the replies...nice to know I'm not alone on this one...

Dave Brown Spinners

Seem reasonably priced ... they will cut it for any prop desired.

Cheap & Ugly Solution: Prop Nuts

Well, it won't look so bad on profiles or radial-cowled setup. But for planes like Extra, Cap, Ultimate & Edge, it will look pretty bad.
