Perhaps he was influenced by ZZ Top. They could rewrite the song -- 'He's got thumbs, and knows how to use them"
I can see Jason now with a spinning transmitter attached to his belt.

heres my questions.............
Is being a capable pattern pilot an advantage at a competition when flying against people who have done imac the whole time?
Whats the biggest challange for you, F3A or IMAC?
Do you see rc as a hobby or a sport or a business?
Do you see IMAC and maybe pattern changing over to a professional sport, such as people flying full time getting payed?
What has been your highlight of your rc flying so far?
What competition throughout the world would you most want to win, do you have a favorite comp?
Who do you thinks the funniest top flyer, are all you top flyers good friends?
At overseas comps has anything (outside the flying) interesting happened?
Do you and your brother have a friendly competition to see who can bag the most trophies?
Who was your rc hero when you were growing up, your father or another pilot?
What was your favorite plane of all time?
and finally Whats with the afro on the chin?? :rainfro:

Erick,
Those sound like good questions to me. Here are some more:
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Who do you think will win the World Series?
How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

1. What mode of stick configuration does he fly.
2. What fuel does he use when flying Comp. Style.
3. What tricks does he do to prepare for a comp. like TOC, Worlds.
4. What importance does his coach do for him.

ask about the turban to go with that beard?
. .
Kinda looks like guinni pig gone bad on a chin.
Kidding Jason!
I think its great to look just like you want, even if the rest of the whole world disagrees.
And ask him, if I can have his plane if he decides not give it to the others who asked first.
And if I cannot have his plane, Will he have me one built like his at no charge.
If not that, Can I have his Backup motor?
If not his backup, can I have the one in his plane now.
If not, my daughter wants the gerbil off his chin, surely he can do that. Shes only 5 and wants a pet. Come on, shes 5 . Surely he can give a 5 year old a pet gerbil, and its only riding on his chin, thats no fun for a gerbil.
Ok serious question here.
Can I call for him at the TOC? I promise not to mess up bad!!

1. What's the best way for an aspiring pilot to improve their skills?
2. What manuevers should be practiced and in what sequence of difficulty?
3. In his opinion, what plane(s) are best to train on before moving up to a 150cc TOC?
4. How doe he setup his planes i.e. control throws, C.G., exponential, dual rates, mixes, etc.?
5. Does he use a flight simulator - if so which one? With what add-on, plane(s)? Setup precicely how?
6. What's the best way to practice using a sim?
7. Any other tips, suggestions, books, videos, websites, that would be helpful in upgrading piloting skills?
Thank you,
Stan Gale

I'd be curious to know if with all the attention and pressure that goes with being a world class aerobatics/3D flier, does he still have just plain old "fun" flying.
And, Does he find the "battle of the brands" as annoying as alot of us do? Nothing worse than having a brand "x" user tell me that my brand "y" equipment that I just took out a second mortgage to get, is sub-standard.
Thanks

Actually.. at least from those of us sponsored by the various brands.. you VERY RARELY see any of us belittle the other brand's product.. Most of us just prefer to explain why we like the features of the brand we fly.. Negative promotion campaigns only really work in politics if at all.

I like the questions so far......but I'm only going to "reply" to one now. And I had a gerbil for a pet when I was a kid.
But if anyone is going to get this "gerbil" I think it is going to have to be this cutie here....

When you daughter starts dating, let me know! If my son gets into R.C. he would probably love to date someone with your daughters background.
Seriously though, with that thought in mind:
How much of an influence was your father in getting you interested in the sport? I would love my son to spend time with me taking part in a mutual interest. It sure would make it easier to talk the wife into letting me spend more time at the field.
What age did your father start you into the hobby? Would you do anything different with your children?
Thanks!

Nice idea Erick, I met Jason in Tucson a month ago and talked for a while, he is a very nice guy and not like other people think, he is always helping people in the Tucson RC club and even a guy that was just watching (I was there for work) with questions,he recommended me this site, his Cap and FC Extra programs for RF G2 are posted in this site; I will send a question if I can find a good one that can actually help, for the ones that make fun out of him, just one word "envy".

Before this gets to rumor-ville, the cutie in the pic is NOT my daughter. Her name is Allison Labonte, daughter of Ray and Robin Labonte. They are from Maine and my brother and I were staying with them for a visit up there a few weeks ago. We flew in the scale contest, and I put on a clinic for 10 Maine'ns while we were there. Here's a pic, gotta run, lightning is no good for puters.

JAS,
I think I speak for the rest of the group here when I say, "Thanks for participating in this forum!" I have only been flying for a year or so, and even I know the celebrity status you hold in the RC world.
I'm sure you brought a smile to many a face when they saw an actual post from you. We know you are busy doing your thing, but thanks for "flying in".
Thanks again.
Mike
PS- Do you type with your thumb and forefinger, or just thumbs?!
