Default Engine problem

I have and OS 160 with a pipe. It ran fine for 10 flights. then it started acting up. At low mid range to idle the engine has a tendency to shut of resulting in dead sticks. There is plenty of smoke from the pipe. I changed the glow plug and checked the tank. What could it possibly be?. Low end to lean?. Today first flight engine was to rich. I leaned it out. Too lean richned it up some. Engine ran fine until I throttle down to enter a torque roll. Engine quit before I got set up. Any solutions?.

Has the length between the header and the pipe changed at all?

The length has not changed. Could it be that the low end is to lean?.

Default Pressure

Possible not enough pressure to your tank.

How many turns out are you on your needle adjustment..????

It's hard to say what's happening for sure. But I have had similar problems with a 46FX. I changed the glow plug and it made a world of difference. I run 15 % nitro fuel which means I can run a cooler plug most of the time but with certain conditions I need to use a hotter plug. Try one thing after you start your engine. Idle it down. Does it slow down when you remove the glow driver? or Speed up when you reconnect it? That can sometimes be an indicator of a bad plug. If it doesn't do that. Try using a larger or smaller diameter prop. On hot and humid days(mostly humid) I need to go to a larger diameter prop for it to run right. Whatever you do do only one change at a time.
