Hello,
I just got a kit, but have no clue what it is called. What is it and how much is it worth?

Thank you

Honestly, I have no clue. I got it from someone and was thinking of getting rid of it. It is in ok shape, but still do not know if anyone would want it and would it be even worth selling it. [sm=confused.gif]

There is nothing wrong with the plane. It has been crashed before but everything is fixed. As I said I got it from a person who quit the hobby. I have way too many planes right now and am trying to sell some of them on Ebay. I also have a brand new Zero RTF warplane, Durastik RTF for sale.

What do you think I could get for it?

The Chipmunk is a low wing trainer, still used by the RAF in the UK and I beleive the Canadian and other airforces for basic training. Developed in the 50's I think.

In the 70's Art Scholl took the basic Chipmunk, put a big engine in it and increases the control surfaces (and made other mods) to make a very successful aerobatic plane for its time, and called it the Super Chipmunk.

Hey vsustko22 /anybody,

I am a absolute beginner to this entire RC plane thing, but i am a very good enthusiast. I have been watching the BTR amateure flying club for a while, and finally decided i need one. I bought one of those "NEW Mini Radio Remote-Control RC Plane R/C Airplane NR" from e-bay for dirt-cheap.

But i am wondering if any of you guys got something better for me within $100 bucks range which a beginner can try without burning his wallet .

Also can anybody give me some pointers to some simple flying instructions, and beginner videos.

thanks in advance.

Join a club that will give you training. Most clubs have some sort of training scheme for beginers, I'm an instructor at my club.

To find your nearest club, ask in your nearest hobby shops, or contact the AMA.

Well.. I'm revisiting this thread to provide and update to the original post. The model was identified as a Goldberg Super Chipmunk with I inquired about and utimately purchased. Just wanted you to see what I did with it. I completely stripped it of it's old monokote and recovered it, mounted a Saito .91 in the nose, replaced the cowl and canopy, some minor structural tweeks...
