I need some advice on an engine for the Funtana Pro. This is the German kit from exclusive modlebau sold by Desert Aircraft here in U.S. There seems to be a large choice of engines in the various discussion forums here on the aircraft. I already have a new OS FX160 which i can use but would really like to go to a gas engine. My questions is:
[:-]Anyone out there flying this plane on a G26 or a ZDZ 40? what do you recommend, why?

Use 3W-28. With this setup weight is 5200 g (sebart funtana), mezlik 20x8 turns 7100 prm.
But the best and right setup is, of corse, DZ 140 or 160. 4820 g without fuel. But cost of fuel !?

Fly the Funtana Pro with an SM30 gasser... Nice Combo, dont know if they are available in the US. In a german forum I read about a guy flying the Funtana with a ZDZ50... Too much of Power if you ask me.
I think the ZDZ40 would be a great choice.
Anyhow with a gasser around 2.5 lbs you should come out with 11-11.4lbs. With a ZDZ40 a little higher, but with more power off course
Here are 2 pictures of mine

Adrian- what all up weight are you getting with the Moki? I may be getting a similar model and have a Moki 180 lying around and was wondering if it would work well. Or should i just hang the expense and go for a YS 140?

I have turned my back on Alcohol and gas motors... I am an "E" guy now... but... what a beautiful place you have to fly!!!!
I would be interested to learn if over time the vibration from the 2 cycle engine affects the airframe... keep us posted!!!
attached is HACKER installation.. with new HM 90 ACRO ESC... (After the fire LOL)
