guys,
i have the 3 witch plane from cedar hobbies that i bought from ebay,there is nothing wrong with it.it flies great ,the only thing is that the landing gear is a wire type instead of solid aluminum .i have contacted them about that and they told me they gonna have new aluminum gears in december. i just cannot believe the price ,i mean cheap . im thinking about a having .90 size . anyways,if someone have questions ,or knows some tricks that i can do with 3d. please let me know.

haw 1 post the day after we have war in the fun fly section yes the plane had problems 1/4 inch wing gap landing gear that is bent wrong were you can't use it you have to fab servo mounts covering is china cote not ultra cote or oracover hinge slot come out of the wing in places some not cut I'm truly disappointed in mine he hyped it to much but that normal i guise the other thread is in the fun fly forum i threw mine back in the box I'll fix it up someday i guise the hot knife is a better plane for the money he will not replace a missing or broken part or landing gear i would have been happy with a foot square piece of covering and aluminum landing gear all i got was you can't buy a plane for 100 dollars

well , how did you install the servos in there , can you send me some photos, i will be glad to help you out, mine fits right in, the covering materials is ora coat according to them, but overall its okay for $85 bucks you know. but you are right about not having a solid aluminum landing gear and i hope they will have the solid soon.

i cut some spacer blocks 5/8 inch think and glued to the rails it has a few minor problems its just the way he stated off about fixing them and getting me a new set of landing gear he didn't and won't help nothing to use that made me mad and when mad I'll do anything i can to screw somebody i don't like being mad but he did it case closed its not ora cote hobby lobby sell its its china cote have a bunch of planes with it the planes really pretty it will fly nice its a goldberg copy that flys nice will he replace the landing gear for you i would be happy wioth some covering so i can install a hard point for crazy legs balsa will not hold up by just screwing the gear to it

i have seen that plane before at the field ,definilty its not a 3d witch . i know exactly what you are talking about. man you have to be carefull where you buy the stuff from sometimes but i tell you what , you guys should call and find out about cedar hobbies 3d witch and you will totally understand where they coming from,its good sometime to get straight answers from the manufacters rather than making desions on products and that just not right.[8D]
im very happy with my 3d witch and im not going to spend more for the same airplane somewhere else.

dude i've got the freaken plane I'm total unhappy as in i hate it its worse than vmar ever thought about doing my fuse to wing gap is 1/4 inch an he won't give me some covering so i can strip the fuse and glue some 1/4 inch sheeting in and recover it or replace the fuse or gear or nothing he won't replace a broken or missing part all he says is you can't buy a plane for 100 dollars thats it can he only speak that in English is he reading or hearing impaired i can slip a 4/40 rod threw the wing gap twice dude your just advertising the plane for him witch i say you are him you have to pay to advertise here like the other people [:'(][:'(]

said how?did you call cedar hobbies and they told you no replacements parts ,etc.... not true at all . i think you just bad mounting the products . i think you work for some hobby shop and mad about cedar hobbies having cheap prices,you keep posting your messages all over cedar hobbies and others,like you mad,well people like you put bad images out there,and youre only 20 years old,youre just a rookie in this game and you dont even know what youre talking about half .

your the one working at the hobby shop i post warning for people about to buy thins plane look threw my post record i never did that before i honesty truly feel this plane will hurt someone your the guy working at cedar hobbies I'll give you the phone numbers to the hobby shops i buy from that plane is not cheap and yes he said no replacement no matter what thats not right I'm not mad I'm pissed I'm hard to get mad but selling me a plane and doing like that will get me going i feel like i have been done wrong i asked for a new set of gear so i could fly it then i asked for some covering so i can cut the covering away from the servo holes and glue in some hardwood striped for the screws to go into also i can tell its the same on selling the plane now will you replace my kit I'll give a few dollars towards shipping or this will continue i have never bought a new in box plane and not been happy my kit is that bad

i just called cedar hobbies people, they told me you have not called regarding your matter,they said you wont even reply your email to call them. all i can say its a good product and i think you should give them a call or resolve your issue and no need for all that mombo jumbo talks and you should see how nice them dude are!!! .you seems that youre a nice guy , but dude the product is super no even close vmar crap,vmar is bad everbody knows that but not cedar hobbies for sure. for $85 bucks dude ,you cant even get a 3d kit with that price you know.

dude its not the same company , where did you buy this blue and white plane from and what is their web site and can you please stop talking about cedar hobbies , i think you should pick up the phone and call cedar hobbies ,believe me you gonna feel bad when you see were theyre coming from , im not trying to advertise here but i cannot believe there still honest people out there. all you and prophanger needs to do is just pick up the dam phone and just get to the bottom of this. we already bought 4 3d witch from cedar and no need for me to even reply any of you guys but thats not right to talk about a plane you have not even seen and you are assuming its the same plane of the blue and white ,well in this case all 3d planes lookalike ,can you send the web site to see who is the manufacter of blue and white plane and i will tell by the specs if its the same plane or not. its kind of sad when we all see a good deal and cannot believe it, really on the 3d witch its just a minor problem that they are working on,the landing gear from wire to aluminum ,once its fixed man shoot they gonna blow everybody else out the water.im mean cheap arf and youre talking about a kit ,im talking about an arf , this plane sells for at least $150.00 thats at least.cedar selling it for $85 . i understand that they are new company and maybe they wants to get more customers you know marketing and all but still dude its plain good dam deal and im not gonna spend my money with some hobby shop trying to screw me over not my $150 on the same thing ,dude they gonna fix the problem and make it even better ,you see im not trying to make a believer out of you but all it takes is to really see who youre dealing with. i myself when buying a plane like to talk to expert and not some sales man that just wants your credit card number. thats all. you know.im not saying that youre wrong about the kit issue but i hope you understand what youre doing thats all you know,they are tons of people wants to know about this new product and now they think that its a piece a junk and you know its not thats all . im mean we all need a better hobby shop to save money right but still improve their product .all we can do is wait and see .

Let me chime in here. I hve the 3D witch from Cedar Hobbies. I paid 74 bucks for the plane and another 23 for shipping for a total of 97 bucks at my door. To be completely honest, If I had paid $150 for this plane I would be PISSED!!. I am a self proclaimed cheap skate and am always looking for a good deal and I saw this plane on Ebay so I bought it without any research what so ever. There are definitely quality issues with this plane before it can be considered "quality".

1. The "Aluminum Gear" is wire and bent wrong.
2. Most of the hinge slots don't match and not cut deep enough.
3. The servo mount does'nt allow you to install a servo w/o mods
4. The tank must be shimmed to clear the throttle servo.
5. Wing opening required shimming with 1/16 balsa in 3 or 4 places.


There is also some good:

1. It's light-Mine came in @ less than 4.5lbs AUW.
2. Except for the rudder, the control surfaces are as big as my deceased Accel Katana.
3. The covering is the same as what came on the first run Accel Katanas.
4. It's CHEAP!!

I have yet to fly mine(good days are hard to come by this time of year in MI). I'm definitly not a 3D Pro, but I fully expect it to be a capable airplane. I will let everone know when I can. So make your own decision, I don't work for Cedar, I just bought an airplane that wouldn't break the bank and If I crash it, I'm out less than a C-Note.
