Default Moki 2.10 and what 3D ARF?

I'm looking for a winter project. I like the Moki engines so I want to get a 2.10 and put it in a 3D ARF. Just looking for ideas. Dave Patrick's Ultimate 120 would be one idea. Not sure if I'm a bipe guy. Anyone use a Moki 2.10 in a good 3D ARF? I'd like to hear about it.

thanks

I dont know if you are interested in a profile, but Ohio Model Planes will soon be releasing its 79" Yak and 80" Edge 540P. They ought to be 3D monsters with that combo.

I guess my first choice would be a scale aerobat but the profiles fly like nothing else from what I hear.

If you want something a little more scale you might look into one of those Chip Hyde CAP X. The recommend like a 180 moki or 160 OS, but the 210 would be even more fun.

I have Moki 2.10 in a H9 Edge 540 1.20. I was told it would be to heavy, but it balanced fine with the rudder and elevator servos in the tail. I have been flying for just over a year and I can do elevators, waterfalls, flat spins, knife edges and starting to hover. I think it's a great combo.

The Dave Patrick Edge 540T is nice too but it's $450. I think that includes shipping.

the cap-x would be perfect for the 2.10 also aero-works 80'' profile would be good choice.

I dont recommend the H9 Edge. I had one with a Saito 180. Mine flew great. I would recommend it as an all around sport plane. It will fly nice and smooth and will do any 3D move you throw at it, but there are better planes for 3D.

I would go for an Extreme Flight Yak. I fyou really wanted to you can put it in a WH Extra or Edge. There are a bunch out there it is just a matter of personal preference. Mine is the Extreme Flight Yak.

H9 Edge

Really solid in Imac too

Might not "lock in" as well as some others do but I still find it a good, clean 3D and IMAC plane.

Just my opinion, go with whatever suits you best.

isnt the yak a little small for a 2.10 i thought it was only rated for a 1.10 I am a fan of more power is better but that motor seems a little to big. so am i missing something or what?

Yeah it is way too much engine and would not balance well at all as well as rip the fire wall and wings off. I think he meant the EF YAK with a different motor.

If the lead time is decent I might go with the Dave Patrick Edge 540T. We'll see.
