There is a field where some guys fly 3D not too far from Pearland. Go by Clarks Hobby shop and ask for directions to Happy's Field. Several 3D pilots there.

The Ucando is great for learning to hover but if you want to learn hi alpha knife edge or harriers, it falls short. I'd recommend a profile...OMP is coming out with a 47" Edge ARF soon, Extreme Flight Edge is also a good ARF. If you want to build, the Sledge is great.

I have the UCD 40 (smaller model) as a first 3D, right after the trainer. It flies OK, but it's EXTREMELY weak!!! If you just land softly and be carefull not to sneez too close to it you'll be fine
.
Indeed, it isn't stable at Harrier, & wouldn't do a reasonable Waterfall, but as a first 3D it's OK.

Personally I think even for learning 3D only a FULLY capable 3D plane is needed. Only planes in the cheap catagory I have found that are able to do it all are profiles and alot of folks will agree with me. Even though they don't look like real planes neither does the Ucando. Go check out the Ohiomodelproducts website before you leap into anything. It's the best advice I can give. If it's not a profile that strikes too much interest at the moment you can find a shockflyer there as well. The shocky and Aerofly Pro is the other two tools I wouldn't be able to live without. Here by me in South Africa I am still the only pilot in my club that flies 3D and have yet to see anyone else here in real life do all the 3D moves. I know of one other guy that can hover and to an upright harrier. But that is all I've seen him do. So we're on a difficult school bus. I have to learn from watching videos on the internet and talking to friends here in the forums etc. Without the stuff I mentioned above I doubt I would have learned what I know now.
