I go tto fly one the other day, It had a YS 110 on it and all I can say is WOW. Great flying plane. Blenders, flat spins, knife edge spins and easy to hover. Lands better than a trainer. If I didn't have a UCD I would get one of these. Better flying plane than the UCD. In my opinion.

Don't have a video but I have this plane. Mine is set up with YS110. It came out to weigh 7 lbs 13 oz. I really love this plane. It does the best flat spins I've ever seen and does great waterfalls. I'm still trying to make it hover and I'm getting better. I also have both UCD (46&60), H9 Twist and H9 Funtana 90. I think this is the best flying plane I own but I think the UCDs either one is more fun to fly and hover easier. I have Saito 100 in new UCD 60 but have not flown it yet. I crashed my first one back in March and just got around to replacing it. The UCD 46 has a Saito 82 and is a blast to fly. I don't like the Funtana at all. It's just not fun to fly. I had a Saito 150 in it and it fly nice but is so tricky to land that I just don't enjoy it. In fact, I've retired it and sold the engine. The Mayhem is my newest plane, save the new UCD, and I'm still learning it. It is very easy to fly. I have my CG at 5 3/4" and I have the tank over the CG with the YS pumped engine. This engine is very impressive on this plane. It knife edges far better than the UCDs and is more precise but just not the hoot the UCDs are. There is a 40 size Mayhem due out in February. You can bet I'm going to try that as well. Here in Idaho our flying season is just about over. Maybe over.
The Mayhem is a great plane. If you try one I'm certain you won't be disappointed. Thanks,
Barry

My personal opinion is these 3d planes beg to be powered by high torque 4 stroke engines. I would think you would be better off with a Saito 100 and 16x4W prop at the very least and the most you would need would be the YS 110. If you watch the weight you can keep it to under 7 1/2 lbs. The Saito 100 would fly that pretty good. With the YS you can mount the tank over the CG for better balance and you get a bit more horsepower. I personally think the OS 160 is a bit too much for this plane. I had one on a H9 Ultra Stick Lite and it flew it nice. In fact I really liked the engine, good milage and a lot of power. But the power is better suited for high speed not high torque. For that reason I'd stay with a 4 stroker on the Mayhem, or similar 3D planes. Thanks,
Barry
