Default Hinges!

I was wondering. I am building a powerlinehobbies edge (1.20 w/ roto 35). Are CA hinges ok for this model or should i go with robart ones!

I've had CA hinges work well on that size model in some planes and fail in others. I pretty much use the Robarts all the time now. Its worth the small amount of extra time for peace of mind.

I use nylon hinges, Pacer hinge glue, and a single long piece of music wire as a hinge pin. This method seals the gap and allows the surface to be removed. I've even done this on a Kadet LT 40...

I agree with Galen.. I too use the Dubro nylon pinned hinges. I do like the Robarts when there's lot's of meat to stick them into. But if I'm unsure of what I'm hinging to, then at least I know how much horizontal surface area is being glued. Plus, as Galen said, you can always remove/replace a surface without having to cut everything off.
