Hey guys,
I just inherited a .60 size u can do and I ordered a .91 os surpass II and a 16 x 4 prop, I was just wondering what kind of hovering capabilities I should be looking for and for any sugestions.

imo first and most important mod you can make is to get that fuel tank over cg.its fairly easy.it will make a world of diff in hovering and flat spins. if that surpass ll is not pumped you will need a cline reg to get the fuel to the engine if you move the tank back to cg.i think you will really like your ucd so good luck.oh almost forgot you need to add 3 deg of right thrust to get a good hover!! and go to the ucd 60 thread its loaded full of mods you can do.and use 4-40 rods .

My friend, I have a Saito 91, which is about the same power, just not so heavy and I use the 15x4 on the Funtana and I would really suggest to use the 15x4W as a max. The 16x4 may be too much....

I had the same combo on my UCD. When it got hot out I did not have enough power to hold a hover. Then I switch to a OS .91 FX (apc 15x6) and removed the baffle from the muffler and it had great power.
Just fly it the way it comes out of the box for now. Set your CD back between 5-6 inches for your prefrence. Just fly it the way it is. Then one day when you make a nice smooth landing and the landing gear just falls off. Don't worry it isn't your fault( they aren't put in very well). There isn't much inside for the landing gear to hold onto so it needs a little extra reinforcement. (Just be careful not to add too much weight)
Good luck

if you reinforce the landing gear dont over do it because it comes off real clean stock and if you reinforce it it will tear up fuselage also. so i wouldnt touch it unless you fly in a cow pasture. if you have a smooth runway leave it alone!!!!!
