I fly my Accel Katana on the Saito 72, which is said to be slightly less powerful than your YS 63. I fly the APC 14x4W mostly. I also use the 14x4 Zinger Pro (not the regular Zinger) with good results. The pull is good on the Zinger Pro, and the lighter weight of the prop allows it to transition faster. Some pilots prefer these mid sized 4 bangers to stick with 13 inch props, but I do not agree. To each his own...

Either the 14x4W or the 13x4W work well on the YS .63, but I prefer the 13x4W APC because it spools up instantly and you don't seem to lose anything on the top end.

Lots of folks feel like Novabill on that one. And I mean lots. I've lost count of how many times pilots have compared notes on that topic.
Personally, I've never felt like the transition was that bad. Some pilots put the plane on the ground at 2000 rpm and gun it to power. My Saito doesn't like it much either. There is no magic dust in my flight box to make it do it well. My solution is to avoid flying at 2000 rpm. I normally fly with two or three clicks of power anyway. When I listen to the transition from that power level to full bore, it's pretty quick. It's just hard to get it out of the cellar.
Using the 14x4 Pro Zinger accomplishes the same thing. I'm not sure how much pull the Zinger 14x4 has as compared to the APC 13x4W, but maybe someone here can give us a number. It would not take much to convince me that the APC pulls harder. I really think they are very close.
Also, I'm thinking that the YS has a bit more gusto than does the Saito 72. If it in fact does have a hint less power, then the 13x4W could be a must.
Can anyone compare the two in power? I don't mean what the ads say, but by experience.
Top end? Who cares... Top end on any of these puts the plane in orbit. No offense intended Nova...

Dion you should send that ys back to yourself cause sumthin is wrong with it...

Seriously, on my 63FZ I found that the 13-4W wasn't enough prop when i use 20/20 or higher. On the ground it spins the 13-4W over 12K. The 14-4W spins about 10.8K

10,500 on a 14x4W is real good power. Doesn't YS give a max rpm for their motors? What is it for the 63? My 91 said never go above like 10,000 rpm. Is the 63 OK at 11,000+ rpm?
i don't think my Saito 72 is doing 10,000 rpm...[

Sounds like a 14x4W is the right thing to do then. No sense in asking the warranty to be void...
I'm gonna tach the ole' Saito tomorrow. I have no clue how hard it turns the prop, I've not tached since it was broken in. Due to a recent mishap with my plane, frozen fingers, and Terra Firma I have switched to my back up prop.[&o] I'll tach it on a Pro Zinger 14x4 and see what I get. When I hit up the LHS for another APC or two, I'll have to tach that one too.
My YS 91 FZ did 10,600 on an APC 16x4W and Wildcat 20/20. Now that was some pull on an 8 pound Su-Do-Khoi 60!

Just from memory, but i think YS says either 11,500 or 12,500 rpm for the 63 as a max rpm... I know it is way higher then the saitos.

YS 63 Max RPM is 15000 on the instruction sheet. No joke. I don't know what the valves will be doing at that RPM, but I've heard people running close to 13k on 13x4W % 30% heli fuel.

I would be sacred to run any four stoke that high. Please please, nobody try to get their YS to do 15000 rpm...
