Default 3D and gyros

Hi guys.............I´m new in 3D and learning the different techniques like Hover and rolling harrier using 3G sim package before attempting to do it with thereal thing.....I´m also looking at videos in the web such as those in Flying Cirkus..............are those guys using GYROS???????.......It is so difficult for me to "hang" the plane for more than a split second that a can´t imegine doing it for that long without using gyros[sm=confused.gif][sm=confused.gif]. Is it a good idea to start with gyros and as you improve get rid of them??
Any advise welcome
Thanks
Marcos

I have never used a gyro, and I don't think that most 3D flyers do. I consider that cheating of sorts. Of course this is all for fun, so who cares. But, I assure you, with the right plane and enough practice, you'll be able to hover until you're bored. At that point you start attempting the maneuvers from those videos. Then it starts getting fun

I have read somewhere that you might want to use gyros, and progressively de-tune them until you can get rid of them. I have personally never used them, and at this point, never will.

I agree. Dont bother with the gyro keep your plane setup simple and light and spend your money on lots and lots of fuel. Youve got a lot of practising ahead

Thanks guys.......Definitely all try all those challenging maneuvers without gyros. I´ll spend time in the sim before attempting the very difficult ones on the field.
Thanks again
