Please tell me what plane this is
I posted this once before, but under the wrong heading. The cowl is throwing me off. It looks to be a 300 of some sort, but none of the 300's I've seen have a cowl like this. I would really appreciate this as I need some parts for it, and would like to know who to contact. I can't contact the guy who gave it to me as it was at a swap meet, and I don't know him. Thanks for your time.

Looks like a home brew,,could be a 230,260,300 or even a laser the cowl isn't right for any of them though. Staudacher is a low wing not mid. Just noticed the airfoiled stab, Haigh superstar maybe with the wrong cowl....

RE: Please tell me what plane this is
Thanks guys, I'll start checking all these suggestions out today. Thanks to prophanger1, I forgot to tell you that the wingspan is 76.5" and length is 55" from end of rudder to front of cowl (43" from vert stab to firewall). Thanks again, and as you guys say, it might be the wrong cowl. It was my first thought, but it fits the frame just perfect. So keep the suggestions coming, at least I'm learning, I didn't know there were this many variations on the extra!

The Laser is a variation on the Stephens Acro, which was modified rather heavily and ultimately was fitted with a Zivko wing, and in the end spurred the produciton of a Zivko aircraft, called the Edge 540. . . also, the laser is what inspired Walter Extra to build his Extra 230.
