Gonna get an OMP 47" Edge ARF when they come out next month...What have you guys been putting on this plane for an engine? Want enough power without adding too much weight. Probably will go 2 stroke unless somebody talks me out of it.

My first thought is usually the Irvine-53 (Tower muffler $15-).... My Topcap had awesome power with an OS-50SX and the Webra-50GT is VERY light and powerful also!
For bang/buck the TT Pro-46 (Tower muffler again-)

Everything Razor said is right on! If you can swing it Klong you are welcome to go for a YS .63 or a Saito .72 but I like the 2-strokes. So for me I'd go for either the Irvine .53, the Webra .50 or the OS .50 SX. And then from there any strong .46 will also be perfect for the plane.

I am using a TT 46 Pro with a APC 12.25 x 3.75 and have no complaints. Unlimited vertical plenty of power to pull out of a hover. I don't think that you need more than a powerful .46 - the exact choice of the engine is a personal preference.
Good luck and have fun, the plane is a blast.

I have been flying with the Webra .50 for over a year and it has been an awesome engine. Also, it's about 2oz lighter then the other .46-.50size offerings.
