I was just given permission by my wife to spend the day with another woman, while she performs the most amazing feats. Very outgoing, very photogenic, very talented, not to mention very aerobatic, and loves being upside down and twisted around.
No, you pervs, Its not what you think. I get to go to the Winston Salem Airshow in Winston Salem, NC this weekend. Patty Wagstaff is one of the featured performers. I am sooo psyched about this. I am hopefully going to be bringing along a video camera to capture her demo on tape, along with a bunch of other stuff.
Anyone within a reasonable drive should come on down and check out the show. They have somethin for everyone.

OOOH,
I almost forgot. I was driving through St. Louis when Sean D. Tucker was flying an airshow. It was so wierd to be going through at the exact same time and place as he was flying. When we were crossing the bridge, he was flying head on at us, not a view that you see very often. His "Tucker Upper" was amazing, he did a torque roll for about a minute, and then did a rolling tailslide for a long way. Very cool!!

Ryan, I think I am meeting a few guys from our club in at a restaurant in Kernersville abotu 830-9 am Sat. I will be the guy pulling the radio flyer wagon with the lawn chairs, umbrellas, cooler, video camera, etc. We are hopin to get pretty close to center stage. You can give me a call on my cell 336.210.8448 if you want to meet somewhere.
Geistware, The show is at the Smith-Reynolds (SP) Aiport in Winston-Salem, NC. Would be about a 5 hour drive or so to here from ATL. They do have a website, but i dont know what it is off the top of my head.

Steve,
I think Patty's airplane will be roped off about there. I'll probably be hanging around there, and I will also float around and look at the other planes before the "show".

Hardee's Airshow Team, LOL!
I covered the Giant Telemaster Fuselage, tail and control surfaces for their team member Barry Herthum (sp?). I had forgotten about that, I am looking foreward to seeing them.

Seen both Patty W. & Matt C. fly their Extra & Cap at Oshkosh this year + other great performances by various planes. Patty is so smooth and precise, while Matt throws his Cap all over the sky in very violent maneuvers. You will enjoy them both, in fact they knocked my socks off with their moves.

Hello all,
This was a great show. Dan Buchanan had some streamers that were too long on his hang glider, so he had Patty clip them.
As always, Patty's show was outstanding!! Another good pilot is Gary Ward, who flew a BEAUTIFUL Giles 202. His website is www.garywardaerobatics.com if anyone is interested. Also, the Hardee's Airshow Team (AMA Sanctioned team) had a slot right after the Flying Farmer, and they were flying a lawn mower. When the lawn mower took off, the whole crowd all but screamed, it was very funny!

Ryan, Ive got about 90 mins of video from the show, which was awesome. I can make you a copy if you can give me a blank tape. I think Gary stole the show with that giles. he has to clack when he walks, cause he's got some big brass ones. Those tumbles and spins were awesome, and the funfly type outside loop was just phenominal. His flight could easily be mistaken for a top notch IMAC or TOC pilot flying a model. His maneuvers were soooooo tightly done.
