ARF or kit? Profile or full bodied?

Aeroworks 300L Profile - weighs about 9 1/2 to 10 pounds. Use an APC 18x6. A builder's kit.

Heck yeah, look no more. They look kind of strange, but get one of these big profile planes from Aeroworks. The kit is less friendly than a full-on laser cut frame-in-your-lap kit, but not too bad. Your 1.50 will rock this plane . I have a Saito 1.80 on mine, a friends is heavier and he has a YS 120 on his.

These are nothing BUT big 3D machines. If you want to hover and fly tight in, right in front of your face, this is the one.

If you were NOT looking at profiles, this is not the plane for you. They're not for everybody. I was skeptical at first.

Yeah, the Aeroworks site is at http://www.aero-works.net/index2.php

The profile plane is at http://www.aero-works.net/planes/300profile/index.html

My big AW profile weighs a very true 9lbs 4 oz with clipped wings. The full wing version my friend flies on the YS 120 weighs 10lbs even. Clip the wings unless you need an IMAA legal 80" plane.

The choice for any 3d flyer who wants the best you can get is the znline majestic-designed by the french champion who won the TOC a while ago.I don't own one but have had a go with one and their flying qualties are simply superb.I coudn't believe how easy it was to be one minute doing fast smooooth pattern aerobatics and then suddenly go straight into a wall/parachute and start torque-rolling away and then fly away straight back into and eight point hesitation rolling square loop!I had no idea a plane(or myself for that matter!) could fly so well - apart from in my dreams of course.A plane such as this is perfect for freestyle aerobatics simply because there is nothing it won't do!Although I may sound biased I can assure anyone that I have flown quite a few other 3D models(that are good at prophanging and wall BUT cannot fly fast smooth aerobatics ) and I would bet a years salary that no-one could find a better performer.Although the Ys 140 would be my first choice your saito 150 should be plenty of power to have unlimited vertical as the majestic only weighs about 10 pounds

Man, everytime I get about ready to built or buy me another plane here come something bigger and better.

I wish these manufactors would stop this. LOL. its gonna make my wife mad.

Somebody take picture of the profile ARF, and post them. I would be very interested in buying this plane if it comes out in ARF form.

The only thing to be careful with the Majestic though.. is you MUST either put a spar in the wing, or glass the center section out well past the fuselage to reinforce it. Both Sean McMurtry and Chip Hyde took Majestics to the Aeropagent 2 years ago, and BOTH had wing failures, although Sean was able to fix his.

Hi guys
The most likely reason why sean mcurty and chip hyde's wings broke was not wings being too weak but because the hot tuned pipe situated close to the wing would literally melt the foam right at the most crucial point! After a couple of flights of this the condition of the foam would get so bad that the wings would break during a violent manuver. One of the flyers I talked to at a show a week had just glimpsed his melted wing when he was unpacking it from his car at his flying field a few weeks earlier.Fortunately with some epoxy and carbon webbing the wing was mended and then the area under the tuned pipe was coated with a layer a heat resistant film. For anybody who wants more info. on the majestic:
approx:
2m length,2m wingspan
flying weight around 10lbs
kitted by www.znline.com
they have a list of retailers on the website
