In what way does it fall out? if it falls out towards the undercarriage then chances are you need to move c of g back a bit and add a bit of upthrust. If it falls off to the left then you may need more right thrust.

I would try moving the CG back- I had the exact same problem with mine- hold a hover for a second or two then it fell out. I have heard other guys LOVE to hover their Magics all the time. I never pushed my CG back enough to "know" if it would help, btu i bet it would! I did build a hatch behind the bulkhead that seperates the saddle area from the tail so i could put my battery in it. Made things more interesting, but I still couildn't hover it to save my life. But then again, it was my first 3-D plane! One thing-watch for tip stall- especially inverted and pushing out hard.

put a bigger prop on...that prop is good for speed, but not torque.....

I've used a 12.25 x 3.76 with good luck....

buddy uses a 13 x 4 with a .46 on his UcanDo.... and while the motor is a bit weak (3d needs lots of torque!) it pulls up nicely with the bigger prop

Sounds like that 10/4 prop is way to small...
I have an OS 46ax on a Twist, a much heavier plane,
with a 12 x 4 prop and it hovers GREAT....

Had a Majic with an OS 46 fx and a 10 X 6 prop and
it would hover with that quite well..

If your motor is running right.. then MOST LIKELY it is the prop...

I'm biased toward 4 strokes for hovering. They respond quicker and have more torque at the low end to swing a larger prop which you need from the prop wash. I have one with a Magnum 52 and an APC 12.25 X 3.75 Wide and has tons of authority.

Dont forget they dont hover themselves, it will always fall out if you dont constantly correct. When i hover/tourqe roll i am constantly making throttle and control corrections to keep the nose up

It is amazing what a couple Gyros can do. You could have auto hover/TR on any airplane with gyro's on the ele and rudd.

I knew a guy that had a short-fused bipe, couldn't get it off the ground without going off the runway- so he cheated and installed a gyro for the rudder. He never had another problem with it- except that he never learned how to fly without it.

No gyro's for me thank you[:'(]

Hey Futaba guys, The JR 9303 comes standard with auto hover AND Auto Harrier. and costs 1/5 what your $2500 Futaba costs. The "auto switches are actually variable control sliders on the side of the radio. (lmao)

Now seriously, you might want to add a bit of right thrust to your motor mount if the magic is twitchy in hover. CG 1/2" back from recommended and 2 8-32 washers to left side motor mount bolts got mine hovering steady as a hot air baloon.
