Hey guys I have a question. I have a Thunder tiger 3D spirit plane with a TT pro 46 and I am not to happy with the plane. It is cheaply built and I have had alot of problems out of it. I am looking for another 40 size airplane that I can just strip my motor and electronics out of and fly. Is the engine going to be ok in a ucd or is it going to be too small. What would b a good replacment 40 size 3d plane. I do not want to buy another engine as I am building a funtana 90 right now so i just want a kit but do not want to sacrifice alot of power.

Hey Jameswill4, No the TT 46 won't work well at all for 3D type performance in a UCD. As for which 3D type plane the TT would work in............ Hmmm..... maybe a profile type plane. Not sure... Have fun.......

I agree-- The UCD-40 with the 46 would fly well but NOT 3D, whereas a profile would fly WELL on the 46 Pro- I have a Hot Knife with my TT Pro-46 and it has plenty of power.
The UCD needs something like a Saito-82 or YS-63FZ to 3D
