I'm looking to buy a new 60/90 size plane. I want a scale type plane, but would like to know your opinions?
I have been looking at the SuperKraft Extra, Cap, and Staudacher. Also read up on the AW edge. Is there such a thing as bang for the buck?
I would like to use the 90FX. I would also like the plane to 3D and still be a smooth, relaxed type plane if possible.
Are there any other planes I've overlooked in this range?

Didn't think about looking at the Yellow aircraft planes. Are they reasonably priced?
The AW Edge really sounds good till you price it. You can buy a 120 size plane for the same money.

I really like the add in MAN for the Yellow aircraft Edge 540t. Call them up and they won't be availlable till after first of the year. Man the bad luck!
Also noticed the AW edge for a reasonable $295 at Cheif. Where is the best deal on one of these?

You can't go wrong with the SuperKraft series!!! I have the cap and other members in my club have the staudacher and extra. The all fly great and are built and covered well. Pick the color scheme you like the best and order one. Like most ARF's you will find some of the hardware should be replaced. I have flown the cap with a Super Tiger .91 and it had plenty of power, your 90 FX will work well. Good Luck

Hey flyacap, I would like to know if they slow down and if they have a tendency to tip at low speed?
I think the look of an edge is still sexy. With the wing and stab all in the thrust line they say that an edge is very neutral. Little or no coupling nessecary for knife edge and very slow stall speed due to the straight leading edge.
I'm also partial to the Extra. If the real thing flies like the G2 sim I believe I'd be happy.
What about stepping up to the Saito 100? A club member has the new Staudacher from Ace with one. On take off he went straight into a "wall" I guess. Straight up about 80 ft and into a hover. But it still flies smooth like a pattern plane.

I own the SuperKraft GS300. It is a great flying .60 size plane. Full capable of all the good stuff. I have also found it to be very resilient after multiple dead stick flights with the OS .91FX.
The only problems I have found are cheap landing gear and some hardware. Other than that, it remains to be one of my favorite .60 aerobatics. I recently mounted a YS 1.20 on it. Once I got used to the extreme
power difference, it becomes a real blast!
Afterwords, I also enjoyed beating my OS .91FX with a hammer, many times.

They all slow down well and are easy to land. The cap does require some coupling for knife edge. A friend that is flying the Staudacher says it is the best plane he has flown for knife edge...and he has flown many many planes. I have recently bolted on the Magnum 120 four stroke and love that. My guess is the Saito 100 will be a better match (not as heavy). As Otter said they are built strong and take the abuse of not so perfect landings (if you don't mind bending back some gear) I don't think you can go wrong for $200.
