With a Hype: fly a straight line, Throttle back, pull full up elevator to vertical (very quick with this type of model.) then throttle up again.
Mine just got half wrecked in a mid air!! Miraculousy, the fin, tailplane, elevators and rudder had all been torn off, yet i managed a perfectly safe and controlled landing using flaps as elevators!
It's well on the way to being fully repaired.
Word of warning, if you haven't changed the supplied tank, do so, mine burst and seriously weakened the front end, which I've had to double with 0.8mm ply.
It really is class for 3D, but it's gotta be set up properly before it'll do the unlimited things properly.
The rolling harrier is awesome, inches from the floor, and with very little airspeed... i reckon in a wind I'll make it backwards! Very hard on the concentration though
last prop I tried was a Bolly 11.5x6, went quite well but It could do with a bigger diameter, i'm hoping for a 13x4 or maybe a 14x4. I find you don't gain from having it revving away, it's a matter of finding the right prop and keeping the revs low, whilst allowing good acceleration and those sorta things!
Have Fun!

Cheers Welsh3d, that is as I thought, just need a little more practice then :-)
Sorry to hear about your accident, but glad you managed to get it down ok, that must have taken some skill.
I haven't changed the tank yet, but will do before the next flight.
Thanks a lot for the advice
Steve

The wall is actually a very easy maneuver. While I do it mainly on a larger gas plane, its really no different. The important part is the setup. You need lots of elevator, on the order of 35 degrees or more.
From straight and level flight, at about 1/3 or so normal speed, turn on 3D rates, then pull full up elevator. You want the plane to stop mid air like it hit a 'wall'. There should be very little vertical travel.
From this point, there are many things you can do. Go right into a torque roll, start a harrier, or go into a tail slide.
If you perform a wall on the vertical down line, its called the parachute, as it looks like someone opened a parachute and stopped the planes descent.
For real fun, do the parachute on final approach and end with a harrier landing. Then its called the terminator (I believe because its terminated lots of planes practicing that manuever).
The key is excessive elevator throws. And if you use say 95% or more expo, the plane will be easily controllable from neutral to about 1/2 stick input. This will allow you to recover easily from the maneuver without having to turn off the 3D rates, and the exit from the maneuver will be much smoother.

I fitted a 12 oz Du Bro tank in its place, but the Dubro tank must be mounted sideways. Needless to say it was definately running a whole lot better.
It's not necessary if you're in a hurry, but I can recommend it before you get to grips with too much!!
Flapperons will also help this model make a much tighter turn, although be careful with bigger IMAC/3D ships, it may cause them to stall violenty.

Cheers welsh. Purchased a du bro 12 oz tank today along with some decent snap links as I thought the supplied ones were a little ropey. Just looking forward to sat. now to give it another go.
Will get some film sht and post on sunday for all to view.
