I own a Funtana 90 with a saito 100 that only gets 8800 rpm with 30% fuel. Dont tell me what to do about that because I have done everything and am sending it back to china to get the problem resolved.
Anywayse, I am gonna buy an EF YAK 54 68 inch span plane. is the ys110 enough for it, it just seems a little skimpy to me. does anyone sell the ys 120.
whats the best engine for this airplane, unlimited virticle with the ys 110 is there added noseweight that is bad with the 140?
please advise me! I will by what you convince me to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

its perfect..
unlike the F90 guys ... when Chris recomends a motor its the RIGHT one for the plane .. the 110 has about the same power as a saito 150..
either one are a perfect choice

really? is the saito 100 really lacking on power, I THOUGHT that the numbers where a symbole of the power?
am I wrong,
I have heard of people hovering the f90 at one half throttle, is this true does the 90 have more power than the 100?
the 100 is prety light though.
so the 110 ys is enough power, y not the 140 though it is a bit more expensive hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

no the # is the size of the motor in Cubic Centimeters or CC`s ... a saito 91 is not more powerfull than a saito 100..... but a YS 110 is almost as powerfull as a saito 150. not because of displacement ... because the YS motors are supercharged... they are 2 different animals..
I am talking YS 110 or Saito 150.. both of these motors you wont be dissapointed with the YAK

ANYTHING BUT THE 1.00 on this plane!!!! I just bought the EF Yak, Hitech 5945's all the way around, a Li-ion battery system for it, and a saito 1.00. THIS PLANE WILL NOT BALANCE WITHOUT ADDING WEIGHT IF YOU GO WITH THE SAITO 1.00 (and were talking battery pack to the firewall and 6 oz. added to the nose kinda weight. I have now replaced the 1.00 with a saito 1.50 and it balances perfect.
This said, it shows how great the 1.00 is. Power to weight you cant really keep up with it however its just too light for this airplane. The Y.S. 1.10 would be the "best motor" but Im no Y.S. guy they are a lot harder to get running right than saitos (to me) and you have to buy that expensive fuel.

I built the one for Fly RC review and the YS 110 is a perfect match. You will have all the power to 3D your heart out or you could fly it in a pattern meet and be competitive. I have 25+ flights on and can't wait for the weather to change here to fly it again.
