I was looking for a good IMAC plane, but I dont want to take out a second mortage either. Anyone have some ideas as to what plane would be good?

My choices were:

Aeroworks 60/90 size

H9 edge 540

Carl Goldberg extra

Wouldn't it be great if somebody could just recommend the "XYZ 650 IMAC" plane and that would be that? You'd have the best and there'd be nothing else to worry about.

Isn't that simple.

There are an enormous number of planes that could conceivably make good basic IMAC planes. The real secret is the guy/gal holding the transmitter. Some planes do in fact lend themselves by design to performing the maneuvers more easily than others.

You could do it with a Cub...if you were real good...REAL good.

The GB Sukhoi, Extra, et al are all viable candidates. I like them because you build them yourself. Complete control over the finished product. If you don't have time to build, you most certainly don't have time for the hours and hours of practice required to be competitive in aerobatics.

YOU are the secret. Buy a kit...build it as precisely as you have ever done anything.

You'll be happy!

Best Wishes...send pics of the trophy!

or instead of spending 100 hours building the kit you could spend those hours practicing flying because you got a arf
