Default Where do you find flight patterns for competition?

I figured I better start putting a little more discipline into my flying and thought the best way was to get back in to pattern flying. However with time my memory of what I used to fly has faded to a couple of split S's, loops and some sort of shishkabob looking thing.
Where would the best place be to find this information with descriptions of what they are or even better, visual representations.

Thanks for the help

Hey there-
For a written description got to www.nsrca.org and go to the "sequences" section. Also, a while back there were some Aresti diagrams posted here on RC Universe. If I can dig them up I'll post the link.
What part of CA are ya from? I live in the Sac area, but am competing in a pattern event in Napa in a few weeks. If your close, come check it out. Let me know if you want the details.

Default Thanks for the info

Hey there, thanks for the info, I am in El Dorado Hills, and I remember flying in Napa way back when the flew on a piece of thick tar paper, the only problems was in you had to make a North to South landing the seams were against you.

Good luck, what class are you flying?

Here's the thread -

Within it is the answer to your question and a link to an Aresti daigram of the sportsman sequence.
Hope this helps,,

Hey again!
Well Howdy Neighbor! I'm just out Latrobe road towards Plymouth. My club is the Gold Country Flyers in Amador County. We fly at Spiva Field, outside of Ione on Michigan bar road.
I just flew Sportsman in Sac last month at the Bud Garric Classic pattern contest. Had a ball and am hooked. Been sport flying for years, but this is cool. I also dabble in Scale and race in the local T-34 circuit.
Talk to ya soon,

Default Very Cool, Very close

My passion is 1/8 Scale Hydros, as I am currently on sabbatical awaiting a 2002 Miss Budweiser, the plane bug bit my ash, I have an old GP Tiporare hanging that just needs a bit of TLC. I threw together a trainer that was laying around to see if I remembered how to fly, too easy, it just like a bike. I then while waiting for this darn scale boat to arrive, put together a GP J3 Cub in All American Monokote scheme, this should take her first flight on Sunday.

I am flying out of the El Dorado Hills club, nice and quite, havent seen folks out there when I have been.

good luck on your comp, I dont think I will be doing both boat racing and pattern flying, I have wife and dog to balance the attention too.. A good wife!!

xxx
