I just tried to Apply the decals to my Harrier 90. When I tried to use soapy water to prevent bubbles, the glue under the decals turned "Hazy". After removing the decal and drying everything off, I tried to reapply using just warm water. The decal just got "hazy" white opaque again. I left it on hoping it would dry up and clear up. So far, after an hour and a half, its still milky looking.
How are you guys applying these decals so bubbles are not present and everything looks clear? What's the best technique?
My U-Can-Do 3D manual suggested putting the decals in a bucket of warm water and then sliding them onto the surface, but when I tried that on that model, the decal edges curled away from the fuselage and I had a difficult time getting them to lay flat as it dried.

You have to keep squeeging from middle to edges. Eventually it will start to stick. Just keep working it out over and over and it will become tacky and soon stick to surface. Keep checking it every now and then.

Had the same thing happen to the decals for my WILD STICK...
After years of installing decals on models , they turned milky after
installing...
Another member of our club said that if you leave them alone
that they will clear up...??????
Have NO idea whats happening....

I only did the windex<sp> once on my last ARF, and it sort of looked
hazy... But I just let it set over night, and mine cleared.... Don't know
if all will though....

They will clear up eventually, just make sure you don't leave any bubbles. Mine did the same thing, they looked so bad that I was sure I had ruined them. I don't know why they react this way
