karl hibbs,
i saw the picture of your U-Can-Do plane w/ rudder on the runway. Can you tell me what motor/prop and fuel your using.

I can rudder touch other planes, but I am running a Saito 91 15x4W prop 15/16fuel and I don't enough power to get down that low, and have enough power to get out quickly.

this weekend im going to get some more, better photos of me hovering our edge. this a pic from 2 weeks ago i thought it was pretty cool with the tail being below the corn. i have dragged it through the corn already but have yet to touch the tail on the ground. my lowest was about 6 inches so far. we will seen what comes of this weekend

I have touched and it isnt hard it is just guessing how low you are because 1 click lower on throttle your rudder servos could be gone! i have smashed my brothers rudder one time. because i wasnt sure how low i was and when i got to lower my throttle it smacked pretty hard. Check out my gallery.

Default tail touching

i have touched tails of other smaller funfly planes but my problem is just like yours. i cant juge how low i am very well. i think ill stay at least a couple of inches off the ground for now.
