The Funtana Pucker Factor
I dusted off the Funtana today, its has set idle scense the birth of the 33% Edge.
Here is a low pass Harrier with a Fat Saito 180, Sweet looks like I have Smoke !!
Then I notice something Weird ?? O yea we have a problem[X(]
Now the Gear comes off.......and Tony D....AKA YNOT Skids it in for a perfect war bird style landing !!
O' yea, I forgot the Pucker Factor Stance Spread the legs, and pucker the buttox
What a great day at the flying field with my great friends. And the Funtana only needed two screws to fly again no damage !!

not that it matters but was the guy that landed it flying from the start or was the transmitter passed. funny story though. would have got a laugh at my field.

Nice!
had nearly same on my F40.
Gear came loose, but hung by the fuel line zip tied there for crankcase drain from my Saito.
Swinging around grinding into the prop.
Had to kill and belly land. Nice full stall about 18 inches up and she went in nice.
Of course I had an audience, being a new instructor pilot.
Picture the two old guys sitting in the back of the theatre on the Muppet Show.....

RE: The Funtana Pucker Factor
i think this supports the practice of having your prop parallel with the ground right before compression so that should the engine stop, the prop is as far from the ground as possible. looks like dirt daddy needs to readjust his prop slightly [:-D] anyway, GREAT SHOW!!!

RE: The Funtana Pucker Factor
I am glad it was not just me that this has happened to. My brother has been dying to fly my F90 and finally got the chance. During his flight, one screw fell out leaving the gear sideways. We both looked up at it stangely, and he said "here you go" and gave me the Tx back!!! I could not get it to vibrate off so I did a slow approach, shut it down, and plopped it into the tall hay at the farm. The screw only had 1 more turn until it would have fallen off. Great job and great pics.........

RE: The Funtana Pucker Factor
i have had my f90 for about 2 weeks now. was flying it sundayand did a blender and a couple flat spins then brang it in for a low pass and noticed my landing gear had came loose on one side and was sideways to the aircraft.
after a few choice words i rememberd the really tall grass at the north end of the runway. so after a few setup runs i stalled it about 6 foot off the grond into the biggest patch i could find............. no dammage at all.
found a new screw and got someones blue loctite and kept flying....it looked just like the fist pic before it was totally off

RE: The Funtana Pucker Factor
The same thing happened on the maiden flight of my F40. First the LG was sideways when one bolt fell out. I decided to just keep flying it and hopefully the remaining bolt would also fall out. Fortunately it did and there was no damage while landing. I got a good lesson on using blue Loctite!
