Now what 68" plane is there out there that is weighing in at only 8#. If I had a Saito 100 it would be for the Fliton Extra 330 ... but that is an ARF. Hint hint ... On a more contructive note, what about something from OMP? One of the profiles? That is your safest bet.

If you want to wait a few weeks the new Katana V2 70 will be here. Perfect for that motor. New version with 2 piece wing and CF tube. Other improvements as well.

There are no prices on the new Katana V2 70 yet. Should not be long.
A 90 Super Tiger is possible for sure.
Just posted pics of it today for first time. Will have video and more pics next week.
More pics and discussion are here too: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3120883/tm.htm

RE: 3D plane for a saito 100
Dion,
Do you guys have a "60 size" yak? I've seen Constrictor's YS 110 powered yellow Yak (on your site) at Nashville, and it's awesome, but I forget what size that was.
That said, I wouldn't put a Saito 100 on the one I saw as it would be lackluster in comparison (considering the YS 110 is about equal to a Saito 150, not a Saito 100). I know the Mojo 60 is lighter than that Yak, but maybe you have a new smaller size that compares with the Mojo 60?

could i put the saito 100 on the 46" katana or would that be way to much power.

Seriously, I've seen Zak West fly his 40 size Funtana with a 100 and it was perfect to me. The site is down right now, but it is on www.3dbatix.com under the video section. Plenty of power.

I've seen at least a dozen 65" Yaks with Saito 100's. Weight is right at 7lbs on just about all of them. Power is not like YS 1.10 ... but pulls out of hover fine.
Saito 100 would be way to much for OMP Katana.

HAY LISTEN...
THE plane for a Saito 100 is the Mojo 60.
65" yak is a great plane but should have more motor.
the black & white plane is my 65" Yak (os120fs)
the warbird is my Mojo 60(saito 91)

RE: 3D plane for a saito 100
Yeah. what he said. Mojo 60 and a Saito 100 = Sweetness. But an OMP 65" yak would be good too. Plus the wings pop off for easy transporting. I've got both planes. My mojos have Saito 91's in them. My Yak has a YS 120. The YS is awesome in it. Tons of power.
I'd say the Mojo would be cheaper to build than the Yak and a tad bit easier to build also. But the Yak is a bit more heavier and flies more true. My Yak is heavier cuz of the YS 120 in it and it floats forever.

RE: 3D plane for a saito 100
I agree with the Mojo in the fact that my Mojo is lighter than my friend's OMP. Remember this kid is looking for a kit... ie: A bunch of sticks with plans on a building board. In terms of flying however a profile, be it OMP or Mojo, and you can't go wrong. They can take a beating, easy to fix, and most fly very well. I do like the idea of the wings popping off on the OMP. And if you have a small car, that has a lot of merit. But I love my profile as all I need is a glow igniter, fuel, and a chicken stick and I am airborne. Flip a coin, make a decision, and then get back to us with your report.

You can order the mojo 60's from Paul Swanson. His web page is www.swanyshouse.com. Good luck and while your ordering, just order 2, because after you've flown one you'll want another.
