3D plane out of cheap Corroplast/Correx?
Hi all,
Just wondering. Has anyone attempted to make an electric 3D plane out of cheap correx material? (the plastic sheets with flutes)
Its easier for me to get, instead of fanfold/depron, and its cheaper, to boot.

Really? Ive got an outrunner thats able to lug around 21oz. How can a simple plane like that hit even 15oz. Is correx really that hefty?

I agree it would be too heavy. This can be overcome with really good electric equipment but would put this in the really expensive category. If you want to go coroplase try the spad (simple plastic airplane design) forum here at RCU and also their website. Really good practice planes with a 0.46 ci engine.

Oh hell no. Im not touching gassers with a 10ft stip of coroplast. Filthy little oilmongers. Ive gone pure electrics since my last fuel encounter.
I AM looking for an electric easy to make corroplast combat plane to bash with with my mates though. Nothing fancy, simple 380 motor and 7 or 8 chinese AAAcells to go all out for a good 10 minutes without caring for damage. But I do believe I already have a topic running on that matter.
