I had one with a TT36 Pro, 11x4 Zinger prop (for light weight), PSP muffler, flew hot, built it pretty much to plan. Spins real fast, good vertical with the .36, flies like a puddytat if you knock the throttle back a few notches, lands easy. I would call it a great third plane, although if you keep the speed down you could use it as a second plane with a little guidance from an instructor. This is a classic fun-fly, very nimble, scores lots of points if you're good on the sticks. I've seen power maniacs put a 46 on it, but it's plenty snappy with a good .36. I will build it again after I catch up on a few other projects.

I had 2 of them. Loved both of them, crashed both of them!!! Very fun ... a good combination of a sport plane / fun fly. Unlimited vertical with .46FX. Stunning roll rate. Nothing but good things to say about the plane.

Funny how you both no longer have them. It must have very good roll rates. LOL
couldn't resist
Waiting for a buddy to test fly his, looks like it will be an enjoyable craft.

Had a friend that had one, he liked it very much except the first time he did a snap roll the thing expoded into a million pieces. Very soft balso spars in the wing... no hardwood.. He was not happy with the construction or materials to say the least

yeah, the dumb guy that lives in my house flew my dazzler into a tree. Before I built mine, I'd seen these things spin like a cuisinart, and I figured a) I didn't need to spin faster than my eyes and thumbs could keep up with and b) fast spins at high speed must be torture on the wings. That led me to pick the .36 for power, and I took some care with I-beaming the spar across 2/3 of the span and laying in some carbon fiber reinforcment top & bottom of the spars. I've never seen one explode, but I imagine it would be spectacular.

I've got one I built and have been flying for the past 2 years at least. I've got an OS 46FX on it with a 12.25x3.75 APC prop and the power is great, very stable inverted. Can drag the rudder all day long without control problems, and with such a fast roll rate a flame out isn't a big deal with a snap of down elevator, roll it over and put it back down. Only problem I see with it is the tiny elevator, it's hard to get good control in a hover but if you stay on top of it it hovers great. I'm thinking about adding some counter balances on the rudder and elevators for more authority.

Do not use the built up tail surfaces if you intend to use a bigger engine such as the .46 fx or Tower .46 , had a friend use th efx and lost one whole half of tail section mid flight, he was able to land it using flaps and spoilers(of course this year he backed over it accidentally with his truck). If you have solid pieces in the back, the thing almost balances perfectly from the building table... This picture is of my Daz-Roar, it is the best qualities of both the Dazzler and Up-roar...
