Just got back from the field...
I had been doing some pretty violent snaps and spins, etc with the U3D and then landed....
Alomst "went again" and decided to call it a day...
Picked up the plane by the gear and the whole former came out with the gearplate and all...
Badly needs reinforced... you make up your own mind, but I'm glad I didn't "go again" cause it would have been the last of that plane and perhaps cost me a new Saito 100...

This plane was not landed hard at all either...
Just looks like some well neede mods here to take the stress this plane WILL be given by everyone flying it...
Gotta say tho, it's a fun plane to fly and a very clean flyer... will use it to practice pattern flying as well as hovering...
It's not a snapper...

The Saito 100....
What a nice chnage from playing around with YS motors...
I'm thru with htem....
I've got a 14x8 on it now and will switch to the 15x6 when the momo is broke in good.

Same thing happened to me -- only I believe that mine broke because of a hard landing on the cowl after the engine died while in a hover at 8-10 feet.
Mine appears to have broken because of the pitiful hold of the hot glue used on the wing dowel fuse former. I don't think GP needs to do any reinforcing other than using real glue on this former. I'd recommend that anyone with one of these peel off the hot glue and reglue with medium CA or probond.

Mine broke exactly the same way,but mine happened when a friend and myself were fooling around together and we were coming around behind each other and doing walls into hovers,we came around and did a wall right into each others wing, he was flying Magic,(I swear he wasn't there a second ago),our wings smacked each other, mine went down and his flew out and landed. But anyway, mine broke just like yours, over all his was actually a little worse.

Wow, they did't key the former into the side? That should have been basic design "best practice". The lack of structure in this critical area is amazing.
