Default 3D Flight Simulators

Can someone please let me know what is a good flight simulator to help me with 3D flying using my Futaba 9CAP radio.

do I need to get a game commander or not? do you have to call support or download files to fix alot of problems after you bye the sim program? Is there a sim program that works well out of the box.

I was thinking of "aerofly professional deluxe" by ikarus

I just bought AFPD and so far I have no complaints. I'm not a 3D flyer yet, but the ability to practice without the risk of destroying a plane is what drew me to the sim. My FM Futaba plugged right in to the USB interface and I assume your 9C will too. Check out their site to be sure. The only negative with this sim is taking off and landing seem way too easy. but then again I never changed anything yet on the aircraft settings. Very nice program.

I use reflex xtr for my practicing, and have had no problems with it. There are many areas that can be adjusted to suit your preferences, and the planes can be made to fly very realistically. I use it mostly for practicing hovering, harriers, inverted harriers, rolling harriers. My only complaint is they don't seem to know how to program in coupling in the knife edge. To me it was definitely worth the money. When I fly my harrier after spending a couple of hours on the sim, I am more relaxed and fly much better.

I have G3 and I can fly 3D with my 9C. I was flying the yak and I had to use the elevator and ailerons to get a straight KE. It flies just like a real RC plane.

I would agree with woops, g3 is very good for learning 3d, I learned everything i know on there, and then went out to the field and duplicated exactly what i just did on the sim. Not to mention the fact there there are virtual flight instructors on there that teach you step by step how to do each maneuver and there is a radio on screen that shows what inputs they are making.

If you are using your radio to fly the Sim, just program any mix you want to add bad habits to the plane.

I have AFPD and am very happy with it. By the sound of things, I would be happy with Reflex and G3 also. Make sure your video card is up to snuff. If not maybe consider AFP.
