send the rx in to get looked at. Might have damaged a ceramic filter.

never heard that one before.. good one. what does a ceramic filter do i missed that in college

Talking about not extending the antenna ...
I saw my buddy crashed the model because the antena WAS EXTENDED.

This was very peculiar story. For range check he collapsed the antena and the range check went just fine (over 50 yards). So for the flight he extended the antena and on take off he lost the model just at the end of the runway (less than the range check distance). The plane went by itself crashing full throttle 100 yards away.

Then we did a range check again (with the wreck) with antena collapsed and no problem, however with antena even slightly extended we didn't have evan 20 yards.
That happened because the antena got unscrewed inside Tx box from it's post. Fully collapsed it had contact with the Tx, extended it lost the contact with the antena post so Tx worked with just internal wire.
