Maybe somebody can tell me if you've seen this done before or if I've got an original here. I call it the "Crazy Eight". It's like a rolling harrier but with a few twists. I'll describe it going from left to right but obviously it can be done the other way too.
On a left-right pass, start out with an outside roller (rolling right, turning left) until 90 degrees of the turn has been completed. Begin rolling inside but continue the left turn (rolling left, turning left) until you've turned another 135 degrees. When crossing the center (of our soon-to-be figure 8) begin turning right, while continuing the left rolling harrier (rolling left, turning right). After completing 90 degrees of this roller, reverse the roll once more and continue the right turn (rolling right, turning right) until you're on the final diagonal leg. I usually exit at the center by pulling up into a hover, but you can fly right out of it or do something else crazy if you please.
