I was just wondering if anyone mounted the engine in the u-can-do an other way than inverted ? If you did, do you have pictures of how it looks ?
Thanks

A friend of mine has a UCD 46 and has his Thunder Tiger .46 mounted angled downward so the muffler is on the bottom. The only thing you need to be concerned with is getting the tank-carb relationship correct. The center line of the tank should be even with or slightly lower than the fuel jet in the carb-nominally the center of the carb throat where the fuel enters.

Hi, I have a .46 size with a .91 Saito mounted on it's side. It does not look bad at all. One of the guys I fly with took his engine off and mounted it sideways after seeing mine and how well it ran. If you are still using the wheel pants, I would suggest removing them ASAP. The UCD's have a weak landing gear system and if and when they collaspe the pants will go all the way through your wing. If you have anymore questions, please don't hestitate to give me a yell.
