Default Full blown 3d plane for 160FX

Lookin to get back into planes, been flying waaay to many heli's recently. Just picked up a e-flite edge 540 and all the brushless to go with, but want another 3d plane.

i ahve a os 160 sittin in my basement doing nothing.

If you guys could, list my options for a all out performance 3d plane that the 160FX would fit the bill for, it seems everything is for .91-1.20's, then it jumps to the 50cc'ers[]

I vote for the Funtanna 90! It is one heck of a good combo. If you do a search on that combo here on RCU you will see what I am talking about. Other than that I would try to get my hands on an Extreme flight yak 54(68") or I think a few guys are using that motor on the Showtime 4D. Good luck with your choice!

YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE GILES 202 from Ultra r/c...have had the Funtana...THIS PLANE BLOWS IT AWAY...here is the site and the forum for the plane..speak to Hovermaster..that is Chris..he is the kid that flys the demo on the web site !!!

[link]http://www.ultrarc.com/giles/index.htm[/link]

Don't pay attention to the back order..they have some in...email them..the plane was designed around the 1.6 fx up to 50 cc motors..BUT...10 lbs plane !!!! the construction blows away the Funtana..things like all carbon fiber tubes...gear..kit to put tank on CG if you have a perry pump for the 1.6 like I do !!! AWESOME !!!

[link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3408777[/link]
THIS PLANE IS MADE IN THE SAME FACTORY AS THE EXTREME FLIGHT YAK AND OTHER HIGH QUALITY PLANES...the color scheme looks much better in person..if near Charlotte NC..come fly mine !!! flys like a big foamie on Steroids !!!

Wrong,,, Most F90s are the same weight as the giles. the specs on the F90 were pulled off a crystal ball.
hope this helps on the worms..

Drumbum is right my F-90 weighed in at 9 pounds 14 oz dry with a Saito 150. I think they used OAK rather than Balsa on some of the F-90s.

The 2 planes both come in at 6 pounds bare. The Giles is longer and has more wing span & is IMAC legal--It will fly 3D and precision with the same set up.

The F90 does not compare to the Giles, but shouldn't as they are in 2 different price classes.

F90-- I don't think you will find more plane for $200 at your LHS.

the fliton extra 330 is way more plane for $200 and you dont have to use a 160, so in the long run money saved

if it was me i would spend the extra $150 and get the giles. since you allready have the 160 i presume.

Giles hands down, I have seen it fly in person and can vouch for it. I'd get one if I had a 160 or similar laying around.

Well I guess if these were built in the same factory as the Extreme flight planes then you better get one now because it could be a year before they have any more ready! Now maybe we will see some more 68 inch Yaks!

If the Funtana and Giles come in at around the same weigh that means I could put my Saito 150 on the GILES!!..

Yep, I am seriously considering my OS108. Should be 10 pounds. Both planes are 6 pounds bare.
