I have just finished building a Morris Hobbies Su-do-khoi (scratch built) and I am looking for a bit of help setting up the throws ect..
I have an OS .46fs up front and am using my JR 3810 set to control it, I have the model set up properly (ie. wing type = Flaperons) but would like to know how much throw I should have on the control surfaces...
I have flown many type of aircraft before, just none really capable of 3D.
At the moment I have programed the duel rates for test flying - and crazy flying.. I have Mode 1 set up with 70% throws on all surfaces (about: Ailerons - 40 degrees max, Elevator - 35 degrees max, Rudder - 35 max) and 40% exponential on all controls, Mode two (Crazy Mode) has 100% throws with 20% exponential. Does this sound as if it will work? Could anyone understand that??
Anyway, It would be good to hear any other tips for flying this model. I weighed it at 1.9kg - too heavy??
Also - What prop should I be using with the .46 motor for 3D??
Many Thanks,

I tried an APC 12.25 x 3.75 on my 46FS with the stock muffler, but it didn't like it. Went to an APC 11.5 x 4 and it performs much better.
At the least, pull the baffle out of the OS muffler. If you can find one, get a Tower Muffler. It will increase the power of the motor.
IMHO, in your "crazy mode" I would have more exponential than in the "regualar mode". Because you have more throw in the control surfaces in "crazy mode". This is the way I set my aircraft up. But of course, I normally fly in "crazy mode".
