what do you mean "bear"...
I have the Katana with the OS .61 as well...and I love it... throws? LOTS!
,,,but use a bit of expo too! otherwise it will turn into a blur when it rolls!
you can set up low rates too... I did so I can play with IMAC patterns... Yep, I fly my IMAC pattern with my Katana then reward myself with amazing 3d!
Knive edge spins, ascending flat spins, HAKE, etc. etc.
it is VERY quick... so if that is what you mean by "a bear".... then hmmmm....
explain what you mean by a bear?

If it's too much throw for you then either reduce them or add some expo. I have the max throw on everything except my ailerons on my Katana. I found that the max I could get was just more then I needed, but everyone is different. Just adjust it to how you are comfortable flying it.

throw..... as much as you can get until the linkage starts to bend, that's when it flies best.
add like 60 percent expo if you plan on flying straight past 1/4 throttle, or it's too squirrely.

well to much aleron is what i think makes it almost to responsive.... thats what i mean by a bear to fly
my radio does not have expo but does have dual rates...... i take off and land with the dual rates on
i can flat spin it well but any thing else i try doesnt work. i thought about turning the rate down on the alerons until it got a little bit more comfortable to fly....the rudder and elevator are as hot as they will go

My Katana is the only plane I have that I don't use Low rates......
just set up the throws as far as you can, add some expo, a scosh of nitro, a dash of cajones, and a smile and go fly.....
the plane is a h00t!
