g'day, this is still very much in the idea phase, but having seen the new os 120 (i want one!) i had an idea.
Ages ago i saw the modeltech fun fly 90. i have heard only good things about it and like the look (it's like a big little stik... with HUGE surfaces!!!). i'm thinking this with the 120AX? what do you all think? what servos would i need? thanks in advance

Hi Richo,
I have been flying the ModelTech 90 "FUN FLY" for over a
year and 257 HARD 3d flights on it..MY FAVORITE PLANE...

Have an OS 91FX motor on it and it has UNLIMITED VERTICAL
There is NO reason for more power...
It can JUMP off the ground in 18 to 20 inches..

You know, that 120AX just might be perfect for a FUNTANA...
Put an OS 91FX on that with a 13x6 Zinnger prop and
you will have a blast...

Showtime would be perfect. It might even fit in the cowl sideways. Not sure… Kyle's Showtime w/ YS 120 doesn't seem to suffer from the weight. The OS 120 AX will be lighter than YS 120, and probably more powerful top end.

g'day walt. i was thinking of you and your fun fly when i had this idea. i remember ages ago yout telling me about it. i appreciate the showtime and funtana suggestions, but i don't really like patterny type ships and the funtana i don't think is particularly versatile, from what i've heard. can anyone suggest anything else. walt, what throttle does your fun fly hover at with the 91?

Hi Richo,
In rereading my previous post I said 257 HARD 3D Flights and
should have read 357 ....

It hovers at less than 1/2 throttle...
The 120AX is only 3oz more weight...
It might work GREAT but the plane is NOT made
for speed...
It would hover maybe a little above idle.....
