Default G62 in a Chip Hyde Vision?

Chip says an employee of his has a G62 in their Vision and really likes it. Anybody tried this combo? Looking for a good 3D plane for my G62. I am aware of Wild Hare also.

Yak,
I've had a G62 in a bunch of airplanes, mostly when I was first becoming aware of/wanting to learn 3D. The only one I've found that does a reasonable job is my Wild Hare Extra Special. I don't have mine converted to electronic ignition so its still too heavy. I mean I can hover it and TR all day, But harriers can be scary. For the Vision, or anything else in that size class I would recommencd a lighter motor. I love my G62, but its best suited to warbirds and other scale ships.

Tag..........yer it.

Try it and let us know how it works. Most have DA's, I am running a BME, someone has to do it, so it now your turn.

It's got plenty of wing area. It's got the right wingspan and length. All the specs look good.

Of course it would fly lighter with a lighter engine. But that doesn't mean it won't fly with a G62.

I'm at higher altitude. My G62 on an 80" Extra with 1275sq.in. will hover and torque--no problem. Plane weighs 15.5 pounds.

Go for it. It will work fine.

I E-mailed Chip and asked him how he thought a G-62 would work in his double vision and he said it should work well.
I may buy one as soon as I scare up the 600 bucks.
I have 3 G-62 and am also looking for a home for one, am also looking at the new Lanier Edge.

very experienced pilot at my field says the Lanier Edge or Extra should be good also. its all about wing loading and weight.
