I'm working on mastering my Nexstar and a lot of the guys at the field are flying 3D. Any suggestions for a good glow 3D plane to start with? I'm looking around the .40-.60 size range.

I would say somthing like a U-CAN-DO .46 or a Harrier 3D they are very forgiving and you can crank the rates up more as you get used to flying that type of plane.

Thanks for the link. Seems like a really nice plane for my GMS 47. I agree with you on your recommendation. I think a 40 size profile is the best way to go for someone trying to learn 3D. Unless they have more money to buy more gear, then go with a 90-120 size profile.

F40. It is a good first step from a trainer and will 3D fairly well.

UCAN-DO 3D or the Goldberg Extreme 330, I have about 200 flights on the extreme and just aquired a 46 ucando and am getting used to it.
I am running a Tower Hobbies 75 on each with 12.25 x 3.75 APC props.
Each one does certain things better than the other, there are many many good 3D planes out there and set up on them makes all the difference in the world as how they fly along with wing loading.

You can;t go wrong with Pa's Bad Boy V2!!!! this plane will almost fly itself!!!! it will be alot diffrent than your nexstar but any 3-d plane will be. the Bad Boy is a very diffrent plane to land, all you have to do is fly the throttle!!! you never have to give up til your ready to touch down!!! i'm flying mine witha Magnum 70 4-stroke with a 14x4w apc prop and 30% cool power fuel and how tons to power!!!! a good 46 or 52 2 stroke will fly it well also. a friend of mine has his satio 52 on his Bad Boy and he has plenty of power!!! check out these pics of mine!!!!

dont mean to sound like an *****. but profiles are ugly doing anything. get something you can step back and say that looks nice when your hoveing on the deck.

It's all laser cut. Very excellent quality. HUGE control surfaces. Decent hardware.

Would do well on any 46--60 size sport engine. Standard servos. Maybe a little bigger servo for the rudder.

Profiles are BEAUTIFUL! If you have the skills, flaunt them. A profile will put any full fuselage plane to shame when it comes to learning (and flaunting) 3D.

Learn on a 40 size profile, then move up to the bigger planes that cost more. The bigger ones do everything easier than the smaller ones -- except moves that you need quickness to perform, of course. Big fat planes do everything in slow motion, so if you can 3D a small profile well, everything else is easy.

ANY plane he's selling are cutting edge 3D planes. They may lack looks, but when u fly a mojo, you'll know.... Mojo 40 arf should be ready dec. 15th.

I agree about profiles!!! They will walk the dog on 90% of the "3D Planes" out there today. I will put my Accel Katana up against the Funtana 40 and win time after time again.

Profile all the way...............EZ to learn 3D stuff on.
And for the record you go to a ProBro fly-in and that "Ugly Profile" stuff will earn ya a ass kick'en..
