I was one of the lucky ones to get an on-sale Columbo Anderson 24% Extra. I am hoping it as good a kit as the threads have said. It is roughly the same size as the Sig Extra 300XS ARF and a little lighter. I wanted to really do this thing up right to be a competitive IMAC plane I can keep around a while and not outgrow too soon. So, with that said. Can anyone suggest a good engine for this size plane? I have had the 160FX suggested to me and that sounds good as I have always had good luck with OS, so what about a 4-stroke? Anyone know if a Saito 150 or 180 would be enough power for IMAC application? And, would the 4-stroke be better for competition? I've flown pattern and definately see the benefits of a 4-stroke in that arena.
Like I said, I want to keep this plane and set-up for a while. Granted I'm not unlimited, but I would like to be able to compete in the lower classes with it. So, any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance...
Dave

I got a 27% and plan to get a 24% also. I think the OS160 would be a killer engine for the 24%'r. I'm going with a BME44 on the 27%'r.
The kit is amazing... If you haven't seen the pictures from my building so far check out the following thread.
