I have a P(f)atty Waggstaff from Great planes with a zdz50ng. She weighs 18,2 lbs and, as you all probably know, this result in a way to high wing loading for serious 3d.
Would it be possible for me to buy a set of wings from another manufacture with lets say 1500 sq inch and modify these to fit the Extra PW? Has anyone tried this? As long as I check the incidence and cg, there shouldn't be any problem?

Shouldnt be a prob, but I would have thought an easier alternative would be to design them yourself from scratch, modifying is ALWAYS harder than designing. Just use the wing tube holes already in the fuse as the basis and work out from there, remembering to add weight in front of the balance as well as behind.
And also remember to make the section thicker if you want good 3-d performance.
My £0.01, good luck

Maybe I am just too lazy but I wouldn't mess with it. Sell the plane and buy a better plane for your engine. By the time you take the money you get for the Patty and the money you would have spent buying new wings you could probably get something better.
Just a thought,
