If you all haven't noticed, the Cap232 from Great Planes is now available. Mine is due next Tuesday. I'm starting this thread so that those of us assembling this plane can talk about it
My plan for equipment is:
Hitech 5945's all around
2 Li-ION 2400's for the receiver
1 2400 Li-ION for the Ignition
3 ReliaSwitch Super Switches from Fromeco
I may replace the control rods with titanium H9 pieces
Gorilla glue with be used as much as possible to do the assembly, especially since the manual states this thing uses hinge points
As far as the Engine goes, I have the new Fuji 43CC but after building the Ultimate and coming in way heavier with the Fuji than Gp says it would I am going to wait until I have everything else assembled and then get the weight and decide on either the Fuji or a Brison 2.4. My goal is to keep it at 14.5lbs or less and if I can do that with the Fuji then that would be a good thing
I will also weight everything and post it here once the box is sitting in front of me.

In my opinion, that set up is an over kill on a small plane. Keep it lite brother! It's only a 27%er. It's not quite big enough to go gas. Keep it glow.
Here is my set up. I ordered it over Xmas.
YS 160DZ (34ozs)
19x8W
5955 on the rudder
5625 on everything else
5475 on throttle
1 2400 Fromeco Peerless Li-ion (3.4ozs)
1 SmartFly Regulated Switch.

I am almost sold on the Brison 2.4 myself for these sub 50cc birds. I would say glow but the weiht penalty is minimal if you got Brison vs a large YS or similar.
I am looking for a Brison 2.4 myself used for my CAP-X. Spin a 20" prop!

Here ya go everyone. I just got the weights on everything including pics. Everything was weighed in the bag right out of the box. The only thing I did not weigh was the Glow Engine mount. I'm waiting on the Fromeco setup and receiver
JR649 receiver at 1.2 ounces
2 Fromeco 2400Mah batt = 6.6 ounces
Switches and regulators 2.1 ounces
SmartFly Optical Kill = 1.0
3 Hitec 5945's and 2 JR125MG servos,extensions,SmartFly Optical kill = 12.5 ounces
Cowl = 10.0 ounces
Wheel Pants = 2.6 ounces
Canopy= 3.7 ounces
Fuselage = 38.8 ounces
Horizontal stab, elevators.rudder = 10.9 ounces
Right wing with aileron = 19.2 ounces
Left wing with ailerons = 18.5 ounces
Fuel tank and all it's hardware = 4.0 ounces
Stock Spinner = 5.4 ounces
Pushrods, pull-pull server arm = 1.7 ounces
Bag of Robart hinges and GP control horns = 2.2 ounces
Bag of all the nuts, bolts, screws, etc = 6.1 ounces
Bag of various wood pieces = 4.5 ounces
Tailwheel and all related hardware = 1.0 ounces
Stock Main Wheels = 2.6 ounces
Stock Landing Gear = 7.4 ounces
Grand Total = 161.6 ounces so nice round is 162 ounces which is 10.1 pounds
So now if I add the Fuji 43CC at 63 ounces including the ignition and muffler
another 2 ounces for a Bambula 20X8 prop
and approx 8 ounces for glue (Mainly Gorilla Glue and R56 Canopy Glue
Now we are at 235 ounces approx total or 14.6 pounds. Yep, the Fuji is gonna work well on this plane WOOHOO
I was going to go with the brison 2.4 but a total weight for the Brison, muffler, ignition and prop is only 6 ounces difference

If I would have known that about 1 day ago when could have done a deal. I just sold it last night and turned right around and got a great deal on a DA-50/muffler combo for the Aerotech Yak I have coming next week.
I was going to wait around for the Aeroworks version but my WANT to have a YAK right now overtook my common sense and well, you all know the rest of the story
Sorry...<shrug>

Hey folks,
I forgot I had this thread started. I just finished this plane last night and flew it today (Yep it took me a bit to finish it as life really kicked in). I did have some glitches but I think I know what is causing them.
I got lucky on this plane. I used the Fuji43 that I had bought for the GP Ultimate and all the stock stuff minus the control rods and I came in right at 14lbs 2 ounces. I need no trim at all. At first I had a single click of left and a single click of up but ended taking them right back out.
Takeoffs are very short if I want them to be or I can go to half power and do a nice smooth scale like takeoff. Once in the air the rolls are very axial, knife edge needs a bit of up but not even enought to mix it out with. I used 1% to mix it a full rudder deflection and since it was that small I could not do a progressive mix so I turned it off. It does not roll out at all on knife edge.
Inverted flight is dead nuts on. I pull a 45 degree up line, roll inverted and let go of everything and it does a nice slow arc just ever so slightly dropping the nose. Stall turns (hammerheads) are a blast, snaps are a breeze and very clean, I am able to do all of the IMAC basic and sportman routines with it.
Landing are very slow. I can slow up enough to have a 25 foot rollout in grass with no wind and the most important thing is I see no really bad snapping tendencies unless you go to high rate elevator and jam it while above 1/2 throttle and it will snap but not really hard.
My complete setup is:
Fuji 43
NX 20x8 prop turning at 6800 (I think it might be a bit too much prop since the NX is a wide blade)
Stock Aluminum Spinner
Hitec 5945's on all flight surfaces
Hitec 625 on the throttle
Smart-Fly ignition cutoff
Titanium control rods everywhere
Stock control horns
Stock Landing gear
All thows are at exactly the book settings
CG is at 5 3/4 inches right where the book calls for it
All batteries and receivers are in the stock positions
Receiver is the JR2000 Synth version
Receiver battery is a Fromeco 2400 Li-Ion with the Super Reliaswitch/regulator
Ignition battery is a NoBS 1100MAh 4.8 volt nicad high rate (7 ohm)
I do not have the wheel pants on it because I'm saving weight but they sure look good when they are on.
If one goes and puts a light 50cc such as a DA50 or a Brison 3.2 then you would have a plane at 14lbs and gobs of extra power. Don't get me wrong, the Fuji does well but I do not want to 3D this thing
