Anyone else fly the Flip-3D by Keyoso. I just got one new in the box and put a OS 46AX on it and I love it. I only had JR DS537 servos so I used them. There slow and weak but they work. I figure if I'm overworking my servos, I'm probably useing my battery up pretty fast. I was wondering what anyone else used for this plane. I have a HS81 on the throttle and thats fine. I'm not rich so I was thinking of useing the HT 645s or the new JR s125s. Any thoughts.
Thanks,
Dave

Misspeld:
Go to SR batteries and buy a good 16-1800 mah battery and fly, fly, fly. The flip's always seemed a little slow on the controls to me regardless of the servo, with exception of the rudder. Must have a muscle servo on the rudder to really enjoy this good flying operpriced thingy. ENJOY

flip 3d is an exellent plane had a os 72 in mine flew great ... put in a 6volt battery for more responce on your servos it will increase the operating speed and give you more power. add dubros servo arms for more travel, and have fun

I picked up a Flip 3D recently, and plan on using an OS .46FX and std servos, too. This is going to be my "beater" plane so I'm not too concerned about making it perfect, just about making it cheap! I may run a 6.0v battery to bump up the speed and torque of my servos.

Thanks for the info guys,
I put some Hitec 635's on the rudder and elevater and went to 6 volts. This thing is a lot of fun. This thing hovers so easy and does great waterfalls. I had several guys at the field commenting on my improved flying skills but I know it's the plane makeing it easyer. With the 46ax it will do a climb out from a hover but this things getting a Sato 82 on it real soon. I forgot to put the alerons and elevater on high rates once after takeoff and found holding an inside right snap at just over half throttle makes a baerly desending fast rolling circle. Kinda cool. The flip is tons better for 3D than my GP Dazzler with the same engine. see pic. of Dazzler.

Dave

Yes! I love the flip, it tracks so straight, and does lots of cool stuff.... I have a thundertiger 91 fourstroke 14*5 prop 30%.... rips....
Question for all the flip owners out there: where'd you end up on the CG? i've been playing around with some lead weight on the tail, but i actually don't know where its supposed to balance cause i bought it used... anyway best 40 size i've ever owned... its big for a 40 though, isn't it?

I started out about half a finger behind the rear CG point(see pic.). and it flew great. I've since went from 4.8 to 6.0 volts. my battery is behind the canopy.(see pic.) with the receiver on top of it and I have not rechecked the CG but I can tell a differance in the air. It's really pitchy and wants to flare on it's own when landing. But the 3D stuff is great. Maby it will be perfect when I put the Sato 82 on it.

hey thanks, thats perfect info! man you should put it forward just a tad.. yeah the 82 will be great.... its such a trade off with the CG! i can tell my funtana 90 is in the exact same cg range as your flip..... pitchy put awesome for 3d.... my flip is a bit further forward, but it flies so clean and straight! i'm going to add one more weight to the back and see how it does... gotta find that sweet spot to stay satisfied...
thanks

ooo, i'll have to measure it, but yeah its pretty hands off, actually i don't recall even needing that much aileron to hold it in a hover. Its really ez though, ezer than any other airplane i have... i'll get that cg measurement for ya

Yea I don't need that much alileron eather. I am going to move the CG a little forward though.
Dealspeed, I bought my Flip NIB from a guy at the field that had two of them. I'll see if he knows about the 25 size and were he got these.

I have a 25 size Flip. Ordered it direct, however had to order 4 of them and cost me about a grand total. Sold 3 of them, haven't built mine yet. Gonna make it electirc.
