Default Need help with setup on my ST4D on my Eclipse 7

I posted this on the radio forums but getting no response at all.
Im setting up my showtime and im having issues with the duel elevator setup on the radio.
This is my set up, I have CH5 Slaved to CH2 and set to 100% control. Im having 2 problems.
One is that when I go to trim the surface out it only trims the side pluged into CH2.
The other problem is even at 100% control on CH5 the other elevator half only has about 3/4 thee amount of throw that the half in CH2 does, My hardwear is setup exactly the same so I know im not just making a dumb***** mistake.
Iv read the manual 100 times and cant figure this out and its the only thing getting in my way of flying this plane. Please any help would be so greatly appreciated.

Have you talked to Mike at Hitec?

He is usually pretty good with replies.

you have to y-harness both elevator servos together. thats the only way you can get the trim to work.

No you dont have to use a Y-harness. Though I would suggest you use a reverse Y harness with adjustable dial from MPI. You can mix it out. I did so on my 36% Extra and my Fliton Extra 330. To trim the side you have in channel 5 you have to use the knob located on top of the radio towards the left that you would usually use to dump the flaps with. Its a major PITA to get the plane trimmed like this in flight. All I can tell you about it not throwing the same amount is good luck. I played with mine for a long time before I found a happy medium. I had to go into channel 5 and adjust the EPA until it matched the EPA on CH. 2. More than likely this will not be the same number. All of that aside, I love hitech products but their radios suck at mixing if you want to do something like this, or even if you want to mix for precision. Thats why I got a 9CAP on the way.
