Default Pizazz Hovering Pics

It would really help me to keep trying to hover my Pizazz if I actually saw some doing it. If anyone has pictures, please send them here for a little encouragement. Thanks

Check this out: http://www.minnesotarc.com/ once your on that page, on the left side of the screen click on "Movies" once that loads scroll down to the older stuff and click on Pizazz "Highlights"
You may try emailing Scott on how to set your plane up for hovering. I have talked to him in person and he seems to be a pretty decent person and has offered to help at the flying field to teach some 3D stuff. I know a lot of 3D flying is getting the airplane set up right. Good luck.

MinnesotaRC.com is the website of my flying field - Kind of. It's run by a guy who flies at my field. I think all the content is of our field (Sodbusters). Make sure to watch the tree trimming video. It's amazing. I think it's the July 6th or 4th video. I fly with Scott all the time. He's an unbelievable pilot.

Here's a pic of the Pizazz in a hover. Chris would hover this on a 46fx but if he held it to lone it would start to lose is gusto and he would have to make it a tail first landing. eventually destroying the plane but hey it was fun while it lasted. Later Ken.....

Default pizazz hovering

The pizazz, in the video's on minnesotarc.com has just the basic equipment, std servos, and os 70 surpass. Nothing special about the way it's setup, I didn't even check the CG but figure it's close. I moved the engine as far back as I could without it hitting the firewall and maxed out the controls. other than that, it’s by the book.

Although we don't have any movies of this, knife edge takeoff are also pretty fun with the pizzaz. For those of you who don't know what that is. You start your takeoff roll and as soon as you have enough speed, you drag you wingtip in the ground and keep it there, one wheel is still on ground. Next the last wheel lift off, wing still in contact with ground, the plane pivots on the wing tip until you get in a knife edge, then you start your climb out. Keep in mind this all take plane in a matter of second, but looks really cool.

Overall, the pizazz is a great way to get into 3D without going crazy on one of those big 40%, I know, i hve two.

By the way the easiest way to learn the hovering is to come low, climb vertically in a strait line (constant correction is needed) then just reduce the rate of climb until you are at a hover. Then it's a matter of bring it down.

FYI
mine pizazz has been in the dirt a few times and it just keeps flying. They are very tough little planes. Actually we have a rule here. Each time you damage you pizazz, you have to use a different color to repair it. Can you guess how many colors mine is? Torque roll touch and goes don't help.

Scott
