is anyone using a 9C with thier UCD? and am I going to have to purchase a 8 channel receiver? I have a 7 on my bench wich I was planning to use. But I cannot find clear instructions on setup. I do not want to turn on one of the custom mixing functions if it is going to hinder me later. If someone can post thier setup in the 9C I would be greatly appreciative.

It is doubtful you will need a custom mix. I have the following in mine:
Dual elevator (to split / reveerse the servos)
Landing mode set up bringing the flaps up as spoilerons and a little up elevator to keep it from diving.
Elevator to flap on the same 3 postion switch (makes for a really nice "wall")
Rudder > Aileron > Elevator (to smooth out knife edge)
Using channels 1,2,3,4,6 & 7 (JR 10 channel radio > yours may be different)
