HEY GUYS,
I HAVE A BRAND NEW IN THE BOX OS BGX3500 (35cc).NOT QUITE TRUE, IT HAS ABOUT 1 HOUR ON IT.PART OF A PACKAGE DEAL I MADE WITH A GUY A WHILE BACK WITH THE INTENTION OF GETTING RID OF IT.
MAY DECIDE TO KEEP IT BUT AM CURIOUS WHAT SIZE AIRFRAME WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH.
FLY MOSTLY IMAC AND SOME 3D.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANKS,
CANUCK.

Check out the new Great Planes Performance Series of ARF aircraft www.greatplanes.com with your motor it would be good for IMAC style flying and some 3d, the planes are capable of more aggressive 3d maneuvers with a different engine (like an O.S. 1.60 2-stroke or a Fuji 43 gasser) hope this helps!!!

If you are talking about the OS 108 BX1 I do not think
it will have the power for the OMP YaK or Edge 80" profiles...
ALSO quite heavy
That motor would be great for a scale plane like a large Spacewalker..
In saying all of this I also think it is one of the best motors
that OS has ever made... but not for 3d ...

He has the BX 3500, not the 1.08.
By the way, I have a BX-1 (1.08) on a Jerry Smith pipe and that is a 3D monster motor on my OMP 65" Yak at a bit over 7 pounds. Plane flies at 3 clicks above idle and accelerates hard on the up line out of hover.
I fly the OMP 80" Edge as well and I'm sure it can handle the weight nicely. I have an MVVS 2.15 gasser on mine with the MVVS pipe and that is a good combo. If the plane can handle that, I'm sure it will do just fine with the 3500. Just don't know if the OMP 80" planes are available. If they don't have the ARF, but have the kits, it's still a worthwhile build.

Buy the way, I have an OS 108 on a Funtana 90s and it is heavy and
somewhat underpowered, would fly better with an OS91FX or the
new OS 120ax...
The OMP planes are NOT available..
I have both 80" profiles and would NEVER put a 108
on them...Maybe the BX3500 if it is like the 160
